“My path has not been linear – and that's exactly why I understand the challenges my clients face today”

For much of my career, I was searching for work that aligned with both my strengths and my desire to make a meaningful impact. Through career transitions, layoffs, graduate school, and leadership roles in complex businesses, I experienced firsthand how challenging professional growth and change can be.

Over 25 years, I worked across six different fields, navigated multiple career transitions, and ultimately made the decision to leave a long-held role to pursue graduate school shortly after the birth of my second child. While the path wasn’t always linear, each experience taught me something valuable about resilience, growth, and the importance of aligning our work with what matters most.

Looking back, there was a common thread throughout my journey: helping people grow.

That realization began during my time at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, where I worked closely with students as they explored career paths, navigated uncertainty, and pursued meaningful professional opportunities. As I supported individuals through important career decisions, I discovered how much I enjoyed helping people gain clarity, recognize their strengths, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.

Motivated by that experience, I earned a Master’s degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, building on my BA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. My studies deepened my understanding of the connection between individual strengths, leadership effectiveness, organizational culture, and long-term business success.

Following graduate school, I joined Marriott International during the acquisition of Starwood Hotels, one of the hospitality industry’s largest mergers. In this role, I helped leaders navigate significant organizational change by leading global and U.S.-based initiatives focused on leadership alignment, organizational design, succession planning, and talent retention. I also developed leadership tools and resources to help high-potential leaders prepare for future opportunities and take greater ownership of their professional growth.

While this work was deeply rewarding, I found myself drawn to a more personal level of impact. I wanted the opportunity to work directly with individuals as they navigated leadership challenges, career decisions, and professional transitions. That desire led me to pursue certification through the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI), where I further developed my coaching skills and approach to leadership development.

Today, I partner with leaders, professionals, and businesses who are navigating growth, change, or transition. Whether the goal is developing stronger leadership capabilities, managing organizational change, advancing a career, or gaining greater clarity about what’s next, I help clients move forward with confidence, intention, and a deeper understanding of their strengths.

My own career journey taught me that growth is rarely a straight line. Meaningful change often requires courage, self-awareness, and support. That’s why I am passionate about helping others navigate their own paths—strengthening their leadership, communicating their value, and creating careers and businesses that are both successful and fulfilling.
